On December 2-3, 2021, the Scientific and Practical Conference "Local Studies: Problems and Prospects for Development in the XXI Century", dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Museum of Local Studies, a branch of Polotsk National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, was held in Polotsk. University lecturers, school teachers and directors, stuff scientists of museums, famous local historians, specialists of libraries and archives of Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan were pariticipants of the conference. The presentations covered the issues of Polotsk history and culture and Belarusian lands in general. Specialists from foreign countries presented the results and achievements of local history studies in recent years in their homeland.
