Viktor Stepanovich BOREYKO (1895-1974)
Born in Polotsk. Since 1915 he had served as a seaman at the Baltic Fleet. In October 1917, he took part in the storming of the Winter Palace. After demobilization in 1923, he returned to his homeland and worked as the chairman of a collective farm. During the war he was a commissar of a squad of the Neulovimy Partisan Brigade of M. S. Prudnikov. In peacetime, he worked on various positions in the Oblast and Raion Consumer Associations, then as a sawmiller at Polotsk Furniture Factory.
Awarded the Order of the Red Banner, medals.
The title of the Honorary Citizen of Polotsk was conferred in 1967.
