Veniamin Solomonovich Magarshak (surgeon)

He was born in 1884. He graduated from the University of Yuryev, worked as a doctor in the village of Kublichi. Since 1924 he headed the Polotsk city dispensary, and in 1925 was appointed the first chief doctor of the hospital. During the Great Patriotic War he worked in a hospital in the Sverdlovsk region. From 1946 to 1967 he was in charge of the laboratory in Polotsk. He was awarded the Order of Lenin, the Order of the Badge of Honor, the medal "For Victory over Germany". He died in 1967. He was buried in Polotsk.
Personal belongings and documents of Veniamin Solomonovich Magarshak was transferred to the museum in 1986 by Maria Magharshak.
